Britain’s Got Talent & Scottish BMX School

On the 10th of July Scottish BMX School was asked by Talkback Thames to provide a cast of diverse BMX riders for series 19 of Britain’s Got Talent!

BMX riders were needed to film the potential title sequence of the show, b roll and other bits of footage around the promotion of Britains Got Talent.

We had a mixture of BMX riders including Nimbus our sponsored rider travelling all the way from Ayrshire to Edinburgh alongside his friend Blake. As well as some BMX riders from our Leith  BMX workshops in 2024. Then we had older riders including Livingstone skatepark locals & local Edinburgh BMX riders. The group also included Lewis Johnstone an prominent MTB rider who was a crucial component in along the TalkBack Thames team to get the shots they required. In particular doing a wheelie while holding a Britain’s Got Talent flag.

Our ability to source a wide range of BMX riders for this tv production was a great example of the diversity of our offerings here at Scottish BMX School.

Both participants and production company had a great day and we are really thankful to get the opportunity to show BMX off to the nation. In a natural form and reflection of what the sport is actually like.

We then finished the day with a session at Saughton Skatepark which was a great activity for the younger ones of the group. The sun was shining and it was a great day by all.

Massive thanks to Talkback Thames for getting us involved with this fun project.
