Sky TV is one of the largest employers in the Scottish Central Belt, and every year they go above and beyond to reward their team with an incredible family fun day packed full of exciting activities. This year, we at Scottish BMX School were thrilled to be invited as one of the headline family event providers, delivering our popular BMX workshops throughout the day.
From 9 AM to 5 PM, we ran non-stop BMX sessions designed for all ages and skill levels. The event was buzzing with energy as hundreds of participants, from kids trying BMX for the first time to parents getting back on a bike after years, joined in the fun. Our workshops gave families the chance to learn real BMX skills in a safe and encouraging environment, making it one of the standout BMX events of the summer.
A special highlight of the day was having Erin join our team. Erin brought her unique flair to the workshops, demonstrating street-style BMX tricks and running a crowd-favourite bike limbo challenge. Her presence had a fantastic impact, especially on young female riders who were inspired to get involved and try something new. Representation matters, and Erin’s enthusiasm showed everyone that BMX really is for everyone.
The feedback from Sky TV staff and their families was incredible. Many said it was one of the most memorable parts of the day — a hands-on, adrenaline-filled activity that brought smiles, laughter, and a few new BMX enthusiasts into the mix.
